Barlotto
Lingua
di Fuoco
Can be used for picking as a fresh tender bean, or left for eating fresh shelled, or dried for winter use in soups and bean dishes. Attractive red striped pod. Excellent flavour.
Blauhilde
For eating fresh. This bean has beautiful purple pods, easy to see when picking. They are green when cooked and have a delicious flavour.
Blue Lake
Well-known variety of excellent flavour and texture. Although called blue, the pods are green!
Cobra
Long harvest period. Long smooth cylindrical beans. Bright green straight stringless 20cm pods. Vigorous vines. Black seeds.
Eva
Long dark green pods, usually more than 25cm and pencil shaped. Tender bean. Very early and very prolific.
Helda
Can harvest quite early and go on picking throughout the season. The pods are good for slicing as they are flat and about 20cm long.
Limka
Has broad pods which are long and have delicious flavour. Good for planting early, mid-season or late.
Markant
Very good cropper, and early harvest. Pencil pods up to 25cm long.
Neckar
Queen
Performs well in poorer weather conditions.Gives a high yield of pencil pods for maincrop production. Variety called 'Neckar Gold' also available.

Barlotto
Lingua di
Fuoco nano
A medium to late variety with unusual pods with red stripes. About 13cm long. The seeds are pale green with red stripes.
Cannellino  
A bean which is ready for harvest mid to late season. The pods are oval and medium green. For eating fresh or for leaving the white seeds to dry on the pod for dried use in the winter.
Cantare  
This bean has pencil pods, medium length at about 12cm long. It matures fairly early and has a very high yield of fleshy, good tasting beans.
Hildora
Yellow podded variety with pencil pods 15cm long. Early to medium maturity.
Maxi
Suitable choice for poorer growing conditions. Mid-green pencil pods 20cm long. Large yield. Early.
Pongo Classic bush bean with green pencil pods of lovely flavour.
Royalty
Excellent flavoured tender stringless beans. Prolific, early maturing. Open plant habit. Purple pods 15cm.
Slenderette
Long, dark green, cylindrical pods with a good flavour. For maincrop.
Speedy Delicious tender green beans with long fleshy pods. Very early and high yielding.
Tendergreen
Vigorous variety. Pencil podded bean to pick young and tender.

Very long uniform straight slender beans. Good beany flavour. Late.
Scarlet Emperor
Red flowers. Pods 25 to 30cm. A traditional variety from the nineteenth century. Still popular today.
Streamline
A fast maturing bean, ready for harvest as a second early. A high yielding bean.
White
Emergo

A tender bean which gives a heavy late crop of very good flavour and colour. Named after its white flowers and seeds.

Semi-leafless type for easy picking. Dark green pods with good tolerance to bad weather. Early maincrop.
Karina

Alderman Maincrop variety with very high yields. Tall growing pea with large pods harvested over a long period. Excellent quality and flavour.

Dwarf Sweet Green
 
Early maturing sugar pea with strong upright growth. Eat whole pod which is very tender. Medium green pods 9cm long. Mainly double-podded. Good for fresh or freezing.
Norli
 
Small pods with sweet flavour. High yielding and top quality. This is the true French gourmet mangetout. Pick at 5cm long. Strong upright plants of medium height at 60cm. About the earliest maturing crop. Can sow successionally for longer cropping.
Sugar Ann
Eat fat succulent pods whole. Ht 1.3m. Very sweet tasting sugar pea.
